Bishkek, Oct. 3, 2023. /Kabar/. On October 2, 2023, the Joint meeting of the government delegations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan on the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border was held in the Kyrgyz city of Batken, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
The Kyrgyz delegation was headed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev and the Tajik delegation – by Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan Saimumin Yatimov.
During the meeting, a detailed exchange of views took place on the issue of delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border. The heads of the delegations, having expressed full mutual understanding about the need to intensify further description of the passage of the project line of the Kyrgyz-Tajik State border in the remaining sections, gave appropriate instructions to the working groups.
Topographic working groups and working groups on legal issues of the government delegations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan on the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border will continue to work on describing the project line on the remaining sections of the state border.
During the meeting, the need to strengthen friendship, mutual understanding and trust between the border regions, as well as the continuation of active work on cooperation between the border regions and regions of the two states was especially noted. Following the results of the Joint meeting, a protocol was signed.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
