Bishkek, Dec. 2, 2020. /Kabar/. Acting President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Talant Mamytov participated on Wednesday in a session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) held via videoconference.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz president, Presidents of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Russia Vladimir Putin, Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, as well as CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas took part in the virtual event which was held under the chairmanship of the Russian Federation.
Addressing the session, Talant Mamytov noted that despite all difficulties, Kyrgyzstan honorably fulfills its commitments within the CSTO, fully supports ideas and initiatives aimed at ensuring regional and international security and strengthening the potential of the Organization as a whole.
The participants discussed the state of international security and issues of further improvement of CSTO efficiency, implementation of decisions of the session of the Collective Security Council and CSTO statutory bodies in the inter-sessional period, as well as development and strengthening of inter-parliamentary cooperation of the CSTO member states.
At the end of the session, members of the CSTO Collective Security Council approved a number of draft documents, which will be individually submitted for signing.
Thus, Declaration of the CSTO Collective Security Council; documents on development of military cooperation of the Organization’s member states for 2021-2025, on Anti-Drug Strategy of CSTO member states, on the CSTO Budget execution report for 2019, on forming a fair and sustainable world order; on organization training the personnel of the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces, etc. were approved by leaders of the states.
