Bishkek, Feb. 8, 2022 . / Kabar /. An opening of a regular flight on the Ulaanbaatar-Bishkek-Ulaanbaatar route was discussed Tuesday at the Manas International Airport (MIA).
The press service of the airport reported that the meeting was attended by Deputy Director General for Infrastructure and Regional Development of MIA JSC Abdimalik Busurmankulov, Deputy Director General for Economy, Finance and Social Development Rysbek Omorov, Deputy General Director for Production Rasul Mamashev, Ambassador of Mongolia to Kyrgyzstan Sodnom Gankhuyag, Director General of Mongolian airline Hunnu Air Purevjal Munkhjargal, representative of airline in Almaty Batbayar Batdelger and others.
"The opening of a direct flight will contribute to the development of trade and economic relations between our countries. We are also interested in opening a regular flight and will provide full assistance in this matter," Busurmankulov said.
Mongolian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Sodnom Gankhuyag noted that opening of the direct regular flight is planned in March 2022 with weekly frequency. Currently, the Mongolian side is coordinating all the necessary procedures with the aviation authorities of Kyrgyzstan.
In turn, Director General of Hunnu Air Purevjal Munkhjargal said that if the situation with coronavirus improves, there is an intention to increase the frequency of flights.
Cooperation between Hunnu Air and Manas International Airport began in October 2021 with the beginning of charter flights on the Ulaanbaatar-Bishkek-Ulaanbaatar route.
