Rehabilitation camp for teenagers in conflict with law opened in Osh

Bishkek, Oct. 18, 2021 / Kabar /. A rehabilitation camp “Open Yourself” for juvenile probation clients has started working in Osh.

This camp was organized by the Oasis Public Charitable Foundation within the framework of the project "Social Partnership in Rehabilitation of Children in Conflict with the Law" with the support of Deutsche Botschaft Bischkek, the German Embassy in Bishkek. The rehabilitation camp is aimed at the socialization and successful integration of vulnerable young people through the use of innovative social technologies and provided for an integrated approach.

The first component is the personal development of a teenager, assistance in self-determination, getting rid of bad habits. The second component is access to information about educational opportunities, obtaining a profession, various projects and programs. The third is the restoration of the psychological health of children in conflict with the law.

Most of the participants before the start of the camp experienced difficulties such as lack of motivation and energy, suffered from shyness, depression and loneliness. Experienced psychologists helped children cope with self-destructive behavior, aggression, anger, depression.

Children were actively involved in sports. According to the organizers, playing sports gives a positive development to the psychological health of minors, reduces stress and depression. During the camp, all participants in the competition showed their endurance, as well as coherence in team competitions. The main goal of the sporting events was the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among adolescents, as well as the formation of will to achieve the goal.
