Bishkek, Sept. 1, 2018. / Kabar /. Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is on an official visit to Bishkek, have sat down at the negotiating table to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation.
The Kyrgyz President warmly greeted his colleague and representatives of the Turkish delegation, expressing sincere joy to a meeting with the leader of the fraternal people in the Kyrgyz land.
Jeenbekov stressed that relations with Turkey are of particular importance for Kyrgyzstan, because this country was the first to recognize the independence of the Kyrgyz Republic. Taking the opportunity, he congratulated Erdogan on his reelection as President and highly appreciated the reforms he is conducting in Turkey.
"Your visit to Kyrgyzstan will give impetus to our bilateral relations. Within the framework of our meeting, we will discuss all aspects of cooperation," Jeenbekov said.
He stressed that the relations between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey have a strategic focus, which builds certain preconditions for the stable development of countries. As part of the meeting of the Council for Higher Strategic Cooperation, as Jeenbekov pointed out, the issues will be resolved to give new momentum to the partnership of countries in trade, economic, military-technical, cultural, humanitarian, social and other areas.
