Remittances to Uzbekistan may reach USD20 bln by 2027

Tashkent, Nov. 12, 2024 . / Kabar / . By the end of 2024, the volume of cross-border remittances to Uzbekistan will increase by 25-30% - up to USD 14.5-15 billion, the conceptual draft of monetary policy of the republic's Central Bank for 2025 and the period of 2026-2027 reads.

In the period 2025-2027 it is projected that remittances will increase annually by 10-15% "within the fundamental trend" and reach USD 20 billion.

The diversification of countries in migration flows is expected to continue to increase, with remittances from high-income countries growing due to their increasing share.

In January-September this year, the volume of remittances to Uzbekistan grew by 34.8% to USD11.3 billion. Receipts from South Korea, the UK, Poland and the UAE increased sharply, while Russia's share continues to decline.
