Bishkek, July 19, 2022 . /Kabar/. According to the decree of President Sadyr Zhaparov, a number of state higher educational institutions will be reorganized, Minister of Education and Science Almazbek Beishenaliev said at a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
The minister noted that reorganization will affect following universities:
- The Kyrgyz Economic University named after Ryskulbekov by adding to it the Academy of Business and Social Development, the Bishkek Financial and Economic Technical School named after Toktonaliev with giving it the status of a research university;
- The Kyrgyz National University named after Zhusup Balasagyn through accession to it of the Kyrgyz State Law University;
- Osh State University by adding to it the Osh State Institute of Law;
- The Kyrgyz State Technical University named after Razzakov through accession to it of the Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transport and Architecture named after Isanov, the Kyrgyz State University of Geology, Mining and Natural Resources Development named after academician Asanaliev.
"The reorganization of universities will be completed this summer," Beishenaliev added.
"Giving a special status, providing for broad organizational, financial and academic autonomy, will give an impetus to the competitiveness of universities. There will be no reductions among the teaching staff, it will affect only the organizational and managerial part," he added.
The deputy minister noted that students of the universities, which will be reorganized, will be able to finish their studies and get a diploma of the university with which the merger occurred.
