Bishkek, Oct. 4, 2020 / Kabar /. Representative of the Central Election Commission of Russia Alexander Kinev shared with journalists his impressions of the electoral process that is taking place today inKyrgyzstan. During the briefing, Kinev said that he had visited several polling stations in Bishkek.
“I must say that the impressions are the best. We liked everything, starting from the moment we entered the polling station, where we were met by trained people and handed over protective equipment. This is an important safety measure. We applied such measures in Russia during the last electoral process,” he said.
The international observer also noted that he was drawn to the fact that all polling stations were provided with full information about the lists of voters, parties and candidates.
“I was most impressed by the activity of voters. At the polling stations we visited, the turnout is already over 15%. It's 10 o'clock. The polling stations are large, more than 2 thousand voters and about 300 people have already taken part in the voting. In many areas we observed queues, in one, according to my estimates, it was 100 meters. Such activity cannot but rejoice. According to the estimates given by the members of the commission, with this level of turnout, in the evening the final result can be at the level of 60-70%,” he said.
In addition, Alexander Kinev noted the observers, who are represented in large numbers at the polling stations.
