Bishkek, Feb. 7, 2019. / Kabar /. The head of the Plenipotentiary representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in the south of Kyrgyzstan Mirlanbek Ismailov met with head of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) office in Osh Eraj Kaniev and head of the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) office in Osh Luke Patenoude, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
During the meeting of Ismailov with head of the UNICEF office in Osh Kaniev the sides discussed the implementation of projects in the health care sphere and strengthening the rights of children, in particular the project “Strengthening the system of maternal and child health”, and exchanged views on projects planned for implementation in 2019.
Ismailov invited the head of the office to visit the Karasuu Boarding School for Deaf Children of the Karasu District of Osh Region, sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Ismailov and head of the WFP UN Office in Osh Patenoude discussed office projects in the area of improving school meals and protecting vulnerable people.
During the meetings, the head of the MFA representation noted the need for close cooperation in the implementation of projects in the city of Osh, as well as in Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken regions of Kyrgyzstan.
