Bishkek, Jan. 27, 2024. /Kabar/. A business meeting between the business communities of Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan took place at the site of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, the press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
During the event, the the sides focused on economic issues and the potential for interaction between the business environment in both countries.
Acting head of the Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mohammad Yusuf Mohmand, highlighted the need to establish close ties between the business communities of the two countries. He expressed his readiness to assist in creating a bridge for business and to become an intermediary in the exchange of experience and information between entrepreneurs on both sides.
During the meeting, representatives of the business community exchanged information on the prospects for cooperation in various sectors, such as agricultural products, industrial goods, textiles and clothing and other industries.
Representatives of the Afghan business community expressed interest in importing goods from Kyrgyzstan such as electric lamps, pharmaceuticals, sugar, legumes, fabrics and other products.
The sides considered a start towards the development of business relations between the two countries, and the business communities expressed their readiness for further exchange of experience and initiatives to support mutual economic development.
