Representatives of Indian Armed Forces arrive in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Jan. 28, 2019. / Kabar /. Representatives of the Armed Forces of the Republic of India have arrived in the National Guard of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The purpose of the visit is to participate in the conference on planning and preparation of a joint Kyrgyz-Indian exercise of special purpose units “Kanzhar-2019”, the press service of the National Guard of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of arrival, deployment and further stay in the territory of Kyrgyzstan of the personnel of the Armed Forces of India.

The exercise between the defense ministries of Kyrgyzstan and India is conducted in accordance with the Plan of preparation of formations, units and institutions of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic for the 2019 academic year, as well as the agreements reached earlier between the parties.

As part of the exercise, Kyrgyz and Indian military personnel will jointly work out the issues of conducting a joint special operation to identify, localize and destroy illegal armed groups in mountainous conditions.

Joint Kyrgyz-Indian exercises are scheduled for March of this year in Balykchy.
