Representatives of World Bank arrives in Osh

Osh, Nov. 21, 2019. / Kabar /. Representatives of social development of the World Bank have arrived today in Osh city of Kyrgyzstan.

Osh Vice Mayor Nurbek Kadyrov, together with the heads of departments of Osh Mayor’s Office met with representatives of the World Bank's social development, led by senior social scientist Gloria La Cava. Also, manager of the Osh office of UNDP Mira Subankulova took part in the meeting.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, including in the field of strengthening social unity, stability and cohesion of the population against social threats, and increasing the religious literacy of the population.

The purpose of the visit is to begin preparations for the forthcoming World Bank study on the development of cohesive and sustainable communities and to continue developing tools for studying mixed methods.
