Bishkek, Feb.20, 2020./Kabar/. A group of representatives of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation has arrived in Bishkek for working visit.
The group is headed by Deputy Head of the CSTO Joint Staff, Major General Sergey Kuprik, the press service of the General Staff of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces said on Thursday.
At the meeting, held the day before at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic, issues in the field of crisis response were discussed.
The sides considered issues relating to cooperation between the Crisis Response Centre of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic and the CSTO Joint Staff, their provision with the necessary technical equipment, and measures to deepen information exchange between the said structures.
As a result of the working meeting, a protocol was signed between representatives of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Defense Ministry and the CSTO Joint Staff.
The meeting was organized under the Plan of International Military Cooperation.
The CSTO Joint Staff is a permanent working body of the Organization responsible for preparing proposals on the military component of the CSTO, organizing and coordinating the practical implementation of decisions of the CSTO bodies on military cooperation.
