Bishkek, Oct.23, 2019 /Kabar/. On Oct. 30 Kyrgyzstan’s Osh city will host the visiting session of the Public Reception Office on the Competition and Antitrust Regulation Block of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
The session will be attended by Serik Zhumangarin, Member of the Board, Minister in charge of the Public Reception Office on the Competition and Antitrust Regulation Block of the EEC, as well as officials of the sectoral departments of the Block, the press service of the EEC reported.
The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) is the executive body of the Eurasian Economic Union responsible for implementing decisions, upholding the EEU treaties and managing the day-to-day business of the EAEU. The main task of the Eurasian Economic Commission is to ensure the functioning and development of the EAEU, and to prepare proposals for its further integration.
The sessions of the Public Reception of the Commission’s Antitrust Block, held in the form of direct interaction with the business of the EAEU, became one of the most effective tools to identify and prevent violations of the general rules of competition in the cross-border markets of the Union.
Over the two years of such meetings, representatives of more than 1000 companies from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia took part in them.
The Commission's experts will give a detailed account of the activities of the EEC Competition and Antitrust Block, the latest developments in EAEU law regarding the prevention and warning institutions, needed to better monitor compliance with common competition rules, and liability for violations of common competition rules in the Union's cross-border markets.
A separate part of the session will be devoted to the discussion of other problematic issues that business faces in the framework of entrepreneurial activities in the markets of the EAEU member states.
