Reps of Kyrgyz and Uzbek governments to meet due to conflict between residents at border

Bishkek, June 1, 2020 / Kabar /. First Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov flew to Batken Oblast, the press service of the government said.

He will visit the village of Chechme, Kadamdzhay region of Batken oblast, where he meets with its residents.

The first vice prime minister will hold an operational meeting with the participation of law enforcement agencies and local authorities on the situation in connection with the incident on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border occurred on Sunday.

Kubatbek Boronov will also hold a meeting with representatives of the Government of Uzbekistan on the conflict between residents of border villages of the two countries.

Today the situation is resolved. The Kyrgyz government has strengthened security measures. The relevant authorities conduct outreach activities with local residents.
