Rescuers of Kyrgyz Emergency Ministry take part in exercise in Kazakhstan

Bishkek, Sept. 23, 2021 . / Kabar / . Almaty Region of Kazakhstan hosted on Sept. 21-22 International Command and Staff Exercise “Zher-2021” entitled “Preparation of management bodies, forces and means of the state system of civil protection to act in emergency response, which occurred as a result of a devastating earthquake”, the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

The exercise was conducted under the general guidance of Minister of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan Yuri Ilyin.

The event was attended by rescue services of the emergency departments of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

The main purpose of this exercise was to increase the level of preparedness and the ability of the state system of civil protection to respond to an emergency situation that arose as a result of a possible destructive earthquake.
