Bishkek, Sept. 23, 2022 / Kabar /. Citizens of Batken Oblast who were evacuated due to the military aggression of Tajikistan began to return to their homes, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan Urmatbek Shamyrkanov told.

He said that a total of 136 thousand 770 citizens were evacuated in the oblast, of which 13 thousand 757 returned to their homes.

Also, Deputy Head of the Public Security Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Nurlan Ismailov said that police officers conduct joint patrols day and night, operational-investigative groups continue to inspect destroyed buildings and residential buildings. “Some local residents are returning to their villages and homes,” he added.

On September 14-17, Tajikistan showed armed aggression by attacking the Kyrgyz border outposts and villages in order to seize the territory of Kyrgyzstan.

As a result of a perfidious planned military invasion by the armed forces of Tajikistan, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, 59 people were killed, including military personnel and civilians, including children; 198 were injured. Residential buildings, economic and social facilities, as well as life support facilities were also destroyed and damaged.
