Residents of Issyk-Kul prohibited from leaving oblast

Bishkek, May 4, 2020. /Kabar/. At the meeting of an Operational Headquarters on Sunday, it was decided to impose a ban for Issyk-Kul Oblast residents on travel to other oblasts.

According to the press service of the Headquarters, this restriction comes into force on May 4, 2020.

Residents can travel outside the oblast on an urgent need, only with the passes of district state administrations and Mayors' Offices of Karakol and Balykchy towns.

Entrance to Issyk-Kul Oblast itself will be provided with a certificate of the results of rapid tests and PCR analysis. Citizens arriving from other regions will be taken under a 14-day home quarantine.

As of May 3, Kyrgyzstan has reported 795 cases of coronavirus infection with 564 recoveries and 10 deaths.

In Issyk-Kul oblast, 10 COVID-19 cases have been revealed.

The first case of novel coronavirus in the republic was reported on March 18.
