Bishkek, April 14, 2022. / Kabar /. Rallies are restricted in Bishkek until Sept.1, the press service of the capital's Mayor’s Office reported Thursday.
In order to prevent and suppress possible mass disturbances, as well as guided by the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On peaceful assemblies", administration of the Pervomaisky district appealed to the district court with a request to temporarily limit the places for holding rallies.
The court of Pervomaisky district declared legal the decision of the administration of the district to restrict the places of peaceful assemblies and rallies held near the buildings of Jogorku Kenesh, the Russian Embassy, Ala-Too square, the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.
These restrictions came into effect and will be valid from April 13 to Sept. 1, 2022 (inclusive). Now all meetings and rallies must be held in the square named after Maxim Gorky.
