Bishkek, Jan. 12, 2021 / Kabar /. The official results of early presidential elections and referendum in Kyrgyzstan will be announced no later than Jan. 24, the press service of the Central Election Commission (CEC) told Kabar Agency.
It is clarified that the results are usually officially announced within 20 days after the voting day, however, since it is the early elections, the terms are reduced to 14 days.
In addition, the press service said that the results of the counting of votes, including manual, will be completed within three days after voting day, that is, no later than Jan. 14.
The early presidential elections and a referendum were held on Jan. 10. Sadyr Zhaparov is leading in the elections, who, according to preliminary data, won 81% of the votes. In the referendum, 83% of voters voted for the presidential form of government.
