This year, Kyrgyzstan chaired the Dialogue of Women of Central Asia. Summing up the results, Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Dzhamilya Isaeva told that important events took place during the year. Two sessions of the Dialogue were held, where the role of women in the economy of Central Asian countries and in strengthening peace and eliminating all forms of violence was discussed.
"Yesterday, we held the EXPO "Women Entrepreneurs in the Sphere of Innovation". This event is an opportunity to see what incredible achievements are made by the women of the region in the field of innovations and inventions. And today, we managed to discuss the issue of how to accelerate the development of female entrepreneurship and innovation, creating favorable conditions at the level of countries and regions. However, the most important thing is that our country has laid a solid foundation for the institutionalization of Dialogue. Despite the fact that Dialog was created as an informal platform, its status increases every year," she said.
Speaking about women innovators, Dzhamilya Isaeva emphasized the success of her compatriot Asel Sartbaeva, one of the first internationally recognized female scientists from Central Asia.
"Women are recognized as a driving force in the acceleration of economic transformations. Not a single woman in the world should remain without attention, because each contribution contributes to the prosperity of the state," the deputy speaker said.
She also thanked international partners, in particular, the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, UNDP, the UN-Women structure and, in general, the entire UN system for constant support for dialogue and cooperation.
In addition, the Resolution on the results of the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan in the Dialogue of Women of Central Asia was adopted, and the ceremony of handing over the chairmanship to Tajikistan was held.
