Bishkek, Sept. 28, 2020. /Kabar/. The resumption of flights has not affected the epidemiological situation in the country, Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev told a news briefing.

According to him, in spring, in order to minimize the spread of coronavirus, reduce the pace of internal and external migration, Kyrgyzstan took radical measures to limit flights and all other communications. These measures were applied in all countries.

"And hence, we managed to curb the spread of infection. Later, when the situation stabilized a little, the number of detected cases went down, we received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs a list of 50 countries with which social, economic and tourist links were established and flights were resumed. Strict controls are now in place to prevent further virus spread. The Foreign Ministry is checking and preparing a list of countries with epidemiologically favorable situation. All this is being monitored. Every month two analyses are carried out, and each time this list is replenished," he said.

The deputy minister also noted that today the resumption of rail traffic is being discussed. A special algorithm has been developed to prevent the possible entry and spread of coronavirus.

"The resumption has not affected the deterioration of the epidemiological situation in the country. The control over this is very strict," the official assured.
