Resumption of passenger transportation by rail from Kyrgyzstan to Russia discussed

The resumption of passenger transportation by rail from Kyrgyzstan to Russia will be possible only after obtaining the consent of the Russian side, head of the Department of Passenger Transportation of the Kyrgyz Temir Zholu State Enterprise Nurlanbek Zhainakov told.

Tthe 1st meeting of the working group on trade and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan was held on February 15-16 this year under the co-chairmanship of First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Arzybek Kozhoshev and Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov.

One of the key agreements was the agreement on the consent of the Kazakh side to resume the transit of regular passenger transportation by rail through the territory of Kazakhstan from Kyrgyzstan to Russia.

At the same time, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan will continue negotiations with the Russian side to obtain consent to resume passenger transportation by rail from the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, taking into account the agreements reached with the Kazakh side.

The resumption of passenger transportation by rail from the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan will become possible only after obtaining the consent of the Russian side.
