Bishkek, Feb. 1, 2022 . / Kabar / . Revenues from theatrical and entertainment institutions in Kyrgyzstan in 2021 amounted to KGS 23 million 819 thousand, Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the republic Azamat Zhamankulov said during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He noted that today the ministry has 22 theatrical and entertainment institutions, 8 musical and drama theaters, 7 drama theaters, 1 opera and ballet theater, 2 puppet theaters, 3 philharmonic and 1 circus.
"Thus, in 2021, viewers were presented 40 new performances, the income from which amounted to KGS 23 million 819 thousand,” the minister said.
In addition, Zhamankulov noted that 8 musical and dramatic theaters will present 8 new performances in 2022.
"In turn, in the coming year connoisseurs of theatrical art will be presented 67 new performances," the Kyrgyz culture minister summed up.
