Bishkek, Nov. 27, 2024. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, rice sown areas have increased 5 times over the past 30 years and amounted to 12 thousand 200 hectares in 2024, the Ministry of Agriculture reported.
According to data of the ministry, the gross volume increased 24.0 times and amounted to 47.5 - 48 thousand tons. If the rice sown area in 2023 was 11,787 hectares, then in 2024 the sown area was 12,200 hectares. That is, compared to 2023, the area in 2024 increased by 419 hectares. At the same time, the yield was 38 centners per hectare
