RKDF, EBRD and USAID ready to support modernization of beekeeping in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Feb. 25, 2023 / Kabar/. The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) are ready to support the modernization of beekeeping in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce said.

According to her, the day before, Deputy Minister of Economy Ainura Usenbekova met with representatives of international organizations: GIZ, EDB, USAID, EBRD, TIKA, the Aga Khan Foundation, JICA and the RKDF. At the meeting, the domestic company "Aman-Greenfood" presented a project for the development of beekeeping in the country, which includes the following areas:

- veterinary service for beekeeping;

- opening of laboratories and creation of a research base;

- production of high-quality and professional inventory and equipment;

- Creation of fodder base for beekeeping.

In particular, the project proposed to expand the potential and possibilities of the cluster approach for the development of this sector. As a result of the presentation, three organizations declared their readiness to provide expert and advisory assistance to the project in its implementation.
