Bishkek, Dec. 18, 2023. / Kabar/. A minibus and a passenger car collided on the Karakol-Tyup road on Sunday at approximately 10:30. The accident killed two people and nine were hospitalized.
According to the Department of Internal Affairs of the Issyk-Kul region, a traffic accident occurred near the turn to the village of Mikhailovka. According to preliminary data, 27-year-old driver of the Mazda Hedos, was traveling to Karakol. Due to icy conditions on the road, he drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a Mercedes Sprinter driven by 43-year-old driver. There were passengers in the minibus. They were traveling from Karakol to Balykchy.
As a result of the collision, both drivers died at the scene of the accident. Nine passengers were hospitalized at the Tyup regional hospital.
