Road Map signed on cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in field of industrial cooperation

Bishkek, March 16, 2021 / Kabar /. A plan of practical measures (Road Map) to expand and deepen cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in the field of industrial cooperation was signed during the state visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to Uzbekistan on March 11-12, 2021, the press service of the Kyrgyz government said.

In total, 60 projects are envisaged for the amount of USD 550.4 million, including:

- creation of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund with the announced capital at the first stage of USD 50 million;

- Creation of an enterprise for deep processing of corn in Chui region in the amount of USD 100 million;

- implementation of a project for the production of concrete products in the Fergana region on the basis of GeoBetonBagdad LLC in the amount of USD 40 million;

- the project for the construction of a trade and logistics center "Kyzyl-Kiya" in the amount of USD 15 millioN;

- organization of the production of special rubber-technical products for medical purposes and the production of medical instruments in the amount of USD 15 million;

- creation of joint wholesale and logistics centers for the processing and storage of fruit and vegetable products and export to the EAEU markets through the Kyrgyz Republic in the amount of USD 12.5 million;

- creation of a modern greenhouse facility and a logistics center in the amount of USD 10 million;

- attracting investments in the development of a production and logistics enterprise for fruit processing in the Namangan region worth USD 8 million;

- implementation of the project for the construction of a cement plant (cement mill) on the basis of JV LLC “Uni Mobile” worth USD 8 million and other projects.

Projects can be added or excluded by the parties during the review process.
