Road surface restoration project in Bishkek led to significant improvement in transport infrastructure

Bishkek, Oct. 19, 2021 / Kabar /. First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Arzybek Kozhoshev took part in the ceremony of signing the Acceptance Certificate of the project "Restoration of the road surface of highways in the city of Bishkek", implemented at the expense of grant funds from the government of China, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

The event was also attended by Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen, Mayor of Bishkek Aibek Dzhunushaliev and heads of relevant state bodies.

First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Arzybek Kozhoshev noted that within the framework of this project, the asphalt-concrete pavement of roads with a total length of about 40 km was restored, in general, 23 streets were restored, which led to a significant improvement in the transport infrastructure of the capital, the development of road traffic and an increase in road throughput.

"These projects are aimed at strengthening friendship and strategic partnership, expanding trade and economic ties between the Kyrgyz Republic and the People's Republic of China within the framework of the well-known One Belt, One Road initiative," the first deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers emphasized.

In turn, Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen noted that such projects are a vivid reflection of the high level of comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

Then the act of acceptance and transfer of the project "Reconstruction of the road surface of highways in the city of Bishkek" was signed, as well as the solemn cutting of the red ribbon.

In conclusion, Arzybek Kozhoshev expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for the support provided and noted that the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan is always ready to support projects aimed at further socio-economic development of the country.
