Rockfall in Ala-Archa valley kills one, injures 7 tourists

According to data of the tourist company "Aksay Travel Ltd.", on July 30, at about 1:00 pm, while climbing the Skryabin glacier No. 9 (altitude 4 thousand 100 meters above sea level), seven tourists fell under a rockfall, as a result of which one person was killed - a citizen of the Republic Kazakhstan, the rest of them were injured.

In turn, the Ministry of Emergencies reported that 7 foreign tourists are injured as a result of the rockfall, among them 3 Kazakhstanis and 4 Russians.

"The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan sent a letter to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the evacuation of the victims. Also, the staff of the Crisis Management Center under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic together with the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan in the framework of the interaction plan conducted joint relevant activities. Today at 06:58 the helicopter of the Emergency Situations Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan flew from Almaty to Bishkek, and then headed towards the glacier of Scryabin No. 9," the press service of the ministry reported.

According to the preliminary data of the Ministry of Emergency Situations one citizen of Kazakhstan was killed.
