Bishkek, Mar.11, 2020. /Kabar/. A coal mine collapse in Salam-Alik rural district, Uzgen region (Batken Oblast) killed one person, another was hospitalized, Kabar Agency has learnt from the press service of the Osh Oblast Internal Affairs Department.
The emergency occurred on Mar. 10 at about 1:30 pm in the Sai-Aska LLC mine, located in Besh-Terek pasture.
According to preliminary data, the mine collapsed along with the ground. As a result, a citizen of Ukraine (1979 year of birth) was killed.
Another Ukrainian (1976) was hospitalized.
21 citizens of Ukraine worked at the facility, they were invited for geological exploration.
The operatives who arrived at the site drew up a diagram and ordered expertise.
Body of the deceased was sent to the city morgue in Osh.
An investigation is currently under way.
It turned out that the said Sai-Aska company obtained a license from the State Committee for Environmental Protection last spring for geological exploration of the coal deposit.
