Bishkek, Nov. 10, 2021 / Kabar /. Within the framework of the first official visit to Italy, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev met with Vice Mayor of Rome Silvia Scozzese.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, during the meeting Ruslan Kazakbaev noted the importance of developing relations between the capital's municipalities. He proposed to hold joint cultural, scientific and educational events in Bishkek and Rome, timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries in 2022. Taking into account the extensive experience of the Roman municipality, the Kyrgyz side expressed interest in studying the experience of carefully preserving historical monuments and attracting tourists.
In turn, the vice myor of Rome welcomed the opening of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Rome and expressed the readiness of the Roman municipality to expand cooperation with Bishkek city.
Following the meeting, a message was conveyed to the Italian side on behalf of Mayor of Bishkek Aibek Dzhunushaliev, as well as a draft agreement on the establishment of partnerships between the two capitals, and expressed hope for its early signing. In this context, the Kyrgyz side invited the Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, to visit Kyrgyzstan to sign this Agreement as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
