Russia becomes main export market for Kyrgyz agricultural products

Bishkek, Sept. 26, 2024 . / Kabar / . Russia has become the main export market for agricultural products of Kyrgyzstan in January-August 2024, the Trade Mission of Russia in Kyrgyzstan said.

Thus, 44.4 thousand tons of potatoes were exported from Kyrgyzstan (deliveries to Uzbekistan - 25.9 thousand tons, to Kazakhstan - 12.8 thousand tons, to Russia - 5.6 thousand tons).

Export of nuts amounted to 53.8 thousand tons (deliveries to Russia and Turkey - 26.6 thousand tons each).

The volume of fruit exports reached 77.3 thousand tons. Among them, apricot took a special place, a significant part of which was sent to Russia - 16.3 thousand tons and to Kazakhstan - 5.1 thousand tons. Deliveries of apples also occupy an important share: 6.2 thousand tons were exported to Kazakhstan, 4.2 thousand tons - to Russia.

Export of dried fruits amounted to 16.5 thousand tons. The main markets were Russia, where 13.7 thousand tons were shipped.
