Bishkek, Nov. 14, 2020 / Kabar /. As part of the fight against coronavirus infection, the government of the Russian Federation sent 500 sets of PCR test systems to the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan.
Representatives of the delegation headed Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Nurbolot Usenbaev met the cargo at the Manas international airport, the press service of the ministry reported.
Usenbaev said that 500 sets of PCR testing systems sent from Russia will be enough for 50,000 laboratory tests. “We are grateful to the Russian Federation for its support in today's difficult epidemiological situation,” the deputy minister said.
During the working visit of First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Artyom Novikov to Russia, he met with the head of Rospotrebnadzor, chief sanitary doctor Anna Popova. The sides discussed cooperation in the fight against COVID-19 and epidemiological safety. As a result of this meeting, the Russian side provided Kyrgyzstan with 50,000 sets of PCR tests as humanitarian aid.
