Bishkek, April 28, 2023. / Kabar /. A batch of 200,000 doses of plague vaccine, transferred by Rospotrebnadzor to Kyrgyzstan, was delivered to Bishkek on April 27, the Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan reported.
The delivery was carried out as part of a joint program to reduce the risks of importation and spread of plague from natural foci, implemented by Rospotrebnadzor with the support of the Russian government since 2016.
In total, up to 600 thousand doses of the Russian vaccine will be transferred to the Kyrgyz side within 3 years to prevent an outbreak of this dangerous infection.
Rospotrebnadzor, together with Kyrgyz specialists, will continue to carry out epidemiological monitoring of natural plague foci, organize advanced training courses and joint training exercises that will allow maintaining a high level of sanitary and epidemiological well-being in the single Eurasian epidemiological space, the diplomatic mission noted.
Rospotrebnadzor is the Russian state sanitary and epidemiological supervision aimed at preventing infectious diseases and improving the sanitary condition of the country.
