Bishkek, Apr. 29, 2019. / Kabar /. A ceremony of handing over Russian military equipment to Kyrgyzstan was held on Monday at the Kant air base, the General Staff of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The event was attended by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff of the Kyrgyz Republic Rayimberdi Duishenbiev.
According to the agreement between the countries, 2 Mi-8MT and 9 BRDM-2M helicopters were donated to Kyrgyzstan. In addition, next year, Russia will donate another 21 units of military equipment to Kyrgyzstan.
