Bishkek, April 24, 2023. /Kabar/. Rosselkhoznadzor informed the Veterinary Service of Kyrgyzstan of the need to suspend the certification of dairy products from all Kyrgyz producers to Russian recipients from April 21, 2023.
Rosselkhoznadzor said that it was forced to resort to such a measure after an inspection of enterprises for the production of dairy products in Kyrgyzstan from April 10 to April 16, 2023 and a visit to the raw material base (farms and milk collection points).
As a result of the inspection, the inefficiency of the work of the competent authority of the republic in ensuring and confirming the quality and safety of dairy products exported to Russia was confirmed, it said.
The service found the lack of proper state epizootic monitoring, as well as monitoring of the quality and safety of livestock products. It has been established that the laboratory research plan does not include most of the indicators provided for by the legislation of Russia and the EAEU.
There is no traceability system at Kyrgyz enterprises; it is impossible to trace the origin of raw materials. Companies use milk without documentation, and also store products without labeling.
The issue of resuming the supply of dairy products to Russia will be considered after the Veterinary Service of Kyrgyzstan re-checks all milk processing enterprises for their compliance with the requirements and norms of Russia and the EAEU and provides appropriate guarantees to the Rosselkhoznadzor, and their subsequent inspection by representatives of the Russian department, the report said.
