Russia lifts restrictions on entry for 47 thsd Kyrgyzstanis

Bishkek, July 3, 2022 . / Kabar / . Restrictions on entry to Russia have been lifted from 47,000 Kyrgyz citizens.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that as a result of the work with the Russian side, including the results of the negotiations at the highest level in May 2022 on the legal status and ensuring the legality of stay of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in Russia, the list of Kyrgyz citizens who were previously prohibited to enter the territory of Russia was significantly reduced.

Thus, restrictions on entry to Russia were lifted for about 47,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan who had committed "minor" administrative offenses on the territory of Russia.

In addition, about 35,000 Kyrgyz citizens remain on the list of persons banned from entering Russia, including those deported based on the decisions of Russian courts.

Kyrgyz citizens can check their status on the official website of the Main Directorate for Migration of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the service "Checking the grounds for not allowing foreign nationals and stateless persons to enter the territory of the Russian Federation through the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs".
