Bishkek, Mar. 26, 2019. /Kabar/. In the framework of the construction of the Uzbekistan - Kyrgyzstan - China railway, Russia’s participation in the project is being considered, head of the Department of Policy of Strategic Development, Economics and Finance of the Kyrgyz President’s Office Daniyar Imanaliev told at a press conference at the Kabar News Agency.
He said that negotiations with Russia on the development of railway infrastructure in Kyrgyzstan have begun and are ongoing.
“As for the construction of the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China railway, here the possibility of Russia's participation in this project is being considered. The construction agreement itself, as you know, will be between the countries that are involved in the project. But at this stage we are considering the possibility of discussing these issues, including the possible participation of Russia in it,” he explained.
Imanaliev added that at the interregional conference in Bishkek within the framework of the state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin, investment agreements in several areas in the field of transport, energy and light industry, development or cooperation and product supply are expected to be signed.
