Bishkek, Nov. 21, 2018. /Kabar/. Head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova passed mobile anti-epidemic laboratories to Guinea, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and Uzbekistan. The ceremony of handing over the keys to the laboratories was held at an interstate scientific-practical conference on "Ensuring Sanitary and Epidemiological welfare in the CIS Member States", which began on Saratov on Tuesday.
"Over the past three years, 12 mobile laboratories have been passed to CIS countries," Popova said, noting that work was carried out in plague foci as well.
Unique mobile anti-epidemiological complexes have no analogues in the world in terms of biological safety and productivity. The laboratory consists of six complexes and can be delivered to any part of the planet in just a day, TASS wrote.
The complex has the capacity for examining from 500 to 3 thousand samples of material for especially dangerous infections and pollutants of biological material, food, air, and water per day. 35 employees are envisaged.
The interstate scientific-practical conference on "Ensuring Sanitary and Epidemiological welfare in the CIS Member States" was held in Saratov on November 20-21 and was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Microbe Russian Research Anti-Plague Institute.
It is the only institution in the Russian Federation that produces rabies immunoglobulin, which satisfies more than 75% of the country's needs, as well as cholera bivalent chemical vaccine. More than 500 people from 13 states, including Russia, Armenia, Moldova, Uzbekistan, etc., took part in the conference.
