Bishkek, Feb. 2, 2024. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin at the annual digital forum Digital Almaty 2024 told that Russia is ready to assist Kyrgyzstan in eliminating the latest accident at the Bishkek thermal power plant.
“I believe that the problem will be resolved soon. For our part, we are ready to assist Kyrgyzstan in eliminating the consequences of the accident. Probably like all members of the Eurasian Economic Union,” he said.
An accident at the Bishkek thermal power plan occurred on today at 03:00 a.m. , as a result of which the equipment failed.
“In connection with the accident, an operational headquarters has been created to restore equipment that has failed and restore the consequences of the emergency,” the Ministry of Energy reported.
The residents are receiving uninterrupted electricity. However, in order to maintain the operation of the combined heat and power plant and heating networks, the supply of hot water to city residents has been suspended. At the moment, the operational headquarters is working to restore heating in the homes of citizens.
In connection with the emergency situation at the capital's thermal power plant, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov interrupted his working visit to Almaty and flew to Bishkek.
Akylbek Zhaparov was in Almaty to participate in a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and in the international digital forum “Digital Almaty 2024: Industry X”.
