Russia to deliver over 70 units of military equipment to its military bases in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in 2022

Bishkek, Jan. 24, 2022 / Kabar /. The military bases of the Russian Federation in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in 2022 will receive more than 70 units of military equipment, according to the information published on the website of the Russian Defense Ministry.

"The Russian military bases stationed in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan will receive more than 70 pieces of weapons and military equipment this year," commander of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin said.

The joint Russian military base Kant in Kyrgyzstan is part of the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces and participates in ensuring the security of the airspace of the CSTO states. It is armed with Su-25 attack aircraft and Mi-8 helicopters.

The 201st military base stationed in Tajikistan is Russia's largest military facility outside its borders. It is located in two cities - Dushanbe and Bokhtar. It consists of motorized rifle, tank, artillery, reconnaissance units, air defense units, NBC defense and communications units.
