Bishkek, March 29, 2021 . / Kabar / . Russia will provide Kyrgyzstan with 500 thousand doses of Sputnik V vaccine, Kyrgyz Minister of Health and Social Development Alymkadyr Beishenaliev told Monday at a briefing.
He added that an issue on providing Russian vaccines was raised during his meeting with health minister of Russia. A response was received that this issue is being resolved at the level of presidents.
"In this regard, President Sadyr Zhaparov was first to raise the issue of the vaccine during his working visit to Russia. The country agreed to provide Kyrgyzstan with 500 thousand doses of Sputnik V vaccine, which we expect in May," Beishenaliev said.
In Kyrgyzstan, the first stage of the coronavirus vaccination with Chinese Sinopharm vaccine will start on March 29.
