Tashkent, Dec. 22, 2020 /Kabar/. Russia will supply one million doses of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine for migrant workers from Uzbekistan, and a contract to purchase a second Russia’s EpiVacCorona vaccine from COVID-19 is also expected, Russian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Vladimir Tyurdenev said at a press conference on the results of 2020, the press service of the Russian Embassy in Tashkent reported.
According to him, Russia was the first to donate to Uzbekistan test systems for diagnosing the coronavirus, and Russian doctors and Rospotrebnadzor specialists were selflessly working in the "red zones," side by side with their Uzbek colleagues, saving lives in hospitals and clinics in the republic.
“Meanwhile, Tashkent also handed over to Moscow several shipments of humanitarian cargos with personal protective equipment,” the head of the Russian diplomatic mission recalled.
