Russian businessmen study in Bishkek creation of joint projects and new products

Bishkek, Nov. 10, 2021 / Kabar /. The business mission of Russian companies has started today their work in Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz-Russian Development Fund reported.

Representatives of Russian business circles will discuss the creation of joint projects and new products with their Kyrgyz colleagues during three days.

The event was opened by First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Arzybek Kozhoshev. In his welcoming speech, he noted that President Sadyr Zhaparov had set ambitious tasks for the Cabinet of Ministers to increase the pace of economic development. And in this regard, the Russian experience in the development of the agrarian and energy sector is especially important for Kyrgyzstan.

“I am sure that this forum will serve as a good impetus for the further development of Kyrgyz-Russian relations,” said Arzybek Kozhoshev.

Russian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Nikolai Udovichenko focused on the favorable atmosphere at the event, which was created thanks to a common language and common views on many issues.

“The Russian language in Kyrgyzstan has the status of an official one. This status is enshrined in the Constitution of the republic. But more importantly, Kyrgyzstan is a member of the EAEU. This is what made it possible to avoid a significant decline in bilateral relations last year. And this year it allowed us to reach positive dynamics in mutual trade,” said Udovichenko.

The participants of the event drew attention to the fact that Russian companies came to Kyrgyzstan with specific proposals for domestic business. Thus, the chairman of the board of Roseximbank JSC Azer Talybaev noted that he sees a huge potential in the implementation of joint Kyrgyz-Russian projects.

“Today we have planned many meetings with representatives of the Kyrgyz business, and I hope that these meetings will be productive,” he said wishing good luck to the participants of the business forum.

Concluding the opening ceremony, the head of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, Artem Novikov, focused on the task of protecting foreign investments.

“We will make every effort to ensure that your investment is successful. And Kyrgyzstan, for its part, has become a successful trade, logistics and investment hub in Central Asia,” said Artem Novikov.

The mission of Russian companies will be in Kyrgyzstan until Nov. 12. Signing of several documents is planned.
