Bishkek, Aug. 8, 2022. / Kabar /. The famous climber Maria Nechaeva from Bashkiria (Russia) fell off the peak of Khan Tengri and died, Komsomolskaya Pravda wrote.
It is known that the tragedy occurred last Saturday.
Approximately at 12:30, when descending to the northern side of Khan Tengri Peak from a height of 5,900 meters, a breakdown occurred. Mary's body was found at an altitude of 5,600 meters. Now the rescuers, together with the group, are lowering the body of Maria to the base camp for further evacuation by helicopter,the report said.
Tourists note that Nechaeva was engaged in mountaineering, rock climbing, skyrunning. Among her achievements is the climb to Lenin Peak, 7,134 meters high.
