Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund to fund USD 1M project to ensure food security in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Jan. 31, 2022 . / Kabar /. During a regular meeting of the Board of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) on Jan. 28, an investment loan of over $ 1 million was approved for the LLC Agroindustrial complex ElDan Atalyk.

The funds will be used to purchase high-tech equipment for keeping laying hens from leading manufacturers, which will ensure the production of 45 million eggs per year and reduce the dependence of the Kyrgyz Republic on imported eggs by 10%, thereby strengthening the food security of the country.

At the moment, Kyrgyzstan provides its own production of chicken eggs at 54% of the market demand.

The project is a part of the cluster program implemented by the RKDF and is aimed at creating conditions for the development of the poultry cluster of the Kyrgyz Republic and increasing the competitiveness of specialized enterprises.

Along with this, the board meeting approved conceptual approaches to projects in the field of development of light industry, education and industrial production in the regions of the republic.
