Moscow, Oct. 22, 2024. /Kabar/. Russian-Kyrgyz relations are developing dynamically in all areas of interaction, Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin said at a joint meeting of the Russian Government and the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers.
He noted that Russia and Kyrgyzstan maintain regular communication and work within the EAEU, CIS and SCO. Trade and economic cooperation between the two countries is developing at a good pace. In the first 8 months of this year, trade turnover has increased by 16%. The share of the ruble in mutual settlements has reached almost 90%.
“We would certainly like to maintain such a trend to ensure stable and predictable conditions for doing business. Our country makes a significant contribution to strengthening the energy security of the Kyrgyz Republic. At the St. Petersburg economic forum, long-term contracts were signed for the supply of Russian natural gas to the northern and southern regions of Kyrgyzstan. We are discussing the creation of a low-capacity nuclear power plant under the Russian project, construction of a solar power plant, an industrial cluster of such modules and components is being formed,” Mishustin stressed.
The head of the Russian government noted that bilateral cooperation is not limited to the economic agenda.
“We pay special attention to humanitarian ties - this is the foundation for strengthening friendly, good-neighborly and truly fraternal relations between our countries,” Mikhail Mishustin added.
