Bishkek, Jan. 10, 2018. / Kabar /. The pilots of the Russian airbase Kant, deployed in Kyrgyzstan, for the first time in the new year started flying in the sky over Tien Shan. Su-25SM attack aircrafts in the pairs worked non-standard routes and performed elements of complex aerobatics.
Kant Air Base, which is armed with Su-25 attack aircraft and Mi-8 helicopters, is structurally part of the Central Military District. It is an aviation component of the Collective Rapid Deployment Force and participates in ensuring the airspace security of the CSTO member states.
Military equipment from Russia to Kyrgyzstan was transferred in mid-November. There are 40 planes and helicopters based here,
