Sadyr Zhaparov concerned about low rates of vaccination against COVID-19 in country

Bishkek, Oct. 21, 2021. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, during the Republican meeting of the heads of local self-government bodies and local state administrations, expressed concern about the low rates of vaccination against COVID-19 in the republic.

He said that the whole world has been tirelessly fighting COVID-19 for two years.

“Currently, funds have been allocated from the republican budget for the purchase of a vaccine. Thus, for Kyrgyzstanis, vaccination is provided free of charge, while in many other countries it is paid,” he said.

The head of state also noted that local governments should conduct an information and explanatory campaign on this issue on an ongoing basis.
